We’ve had the flu, the girls and I. Blech. Hours of moaning and groaning and lying on couches drifting in and out of sleep. If you’ve had it or have it, I’m sorry. If not, I sincerely hope you don’t get it!
Time feels so slow when life’s like that. I’m so glad it was my slow season so I could actually rest. One thing that’s always close by on the coffee table and gives me great comfort when I’m on the couch and feeling lousy, is our family albums. We make one each year (I use blurb because you can put up to 240 pages in those books!). We love looking back on our years of memories. And as we were resting and healing, they were a welcome distraction.
It’s time to start working on that 2017 album, and so it’s time for the yearly best of the year post! Same post rules as every year: only two pictures per month, only discernible faces can be those of my family, no vacations.
Here we go!
Hope you enjoyed! It was a great year. Full of laughter and tears and punky-ness, and everything in between.
Making these albums has become a yearly tradition, and we really do love them! But I’ve only made them for the past couple of years. There are missing years, and that’s ok for now. I’m working on it, and will get back to those years when I have more time. For a long time, I let that paralyze me: Oh my goodness, I have so many albums to do, so much catching up! Until one day, I finally just made that year (2013), and I just keep making one each year. I’m not caught up, and that’s ok!
If a yearly album sounds like something you’d like, let me know! I have a program for that called Year in the Life (four seasonal sessions, a day in the life session, plus your personal phone pictures all put into an album!).
Thanks for reading!
