Oh this little one. She came into a family already full of love and laughter and so much fun!She has a wonderful big sis who was so excited for her arrival!
She did such a wonderful job sleeping right through her whole newborn session! But here and there, we got a tiny little glimpse of the amazingly wonderfully silly faces she’d one day make. At her sitting up session, it was sweetness galore.
Big sis takes such good care of her and loves her so much! So much giggling! In fact, it might just be big sis who taught her some of these faces. I swear I’ve seen a few of these before somewhere… These make me think of “I sound my barbaric yawp over the rooftops of the world” from Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself” (also of Dead Poet Society fame). And how perfect to quote a bit more of that poem:
“I Celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.”
Yes, little one. Your song is all your own, unique to this world. Sing it loud and proud to all the good souls of this beautiful world.
By the time her walking session rolled around, her curls were coming in and she was ready to party! I love how big sis is running behind her in this one. Someday they’ll be running together! Oh the shoes! She crawled around with them on her hands, and then walked around barefoot while mom and dad carried a shoe in each hand.
This girl and her funny, awesome faces! Her family so full of love! Her silliness and her seriousness and her unique-in-all-the-world-ness. I adore this girl! And her big sis, and her mom and dad. One of the sweetest families I have ever known. It was an honor and SO MUCH FUN to document your first year, little one!
The first year experience is three sessions in baby’s first year and a half – a newborn session, sitting up session, and standing/walking session. I LOVE these!!! If you or someone you love might love this experience as well, let me know! I’ll get you all the details!
