I love so much when I get to document a baby’s first year. It’s truly amazing watching these babies plop into the world and completely change the lives of everyone in the family. Such an honor to watch these babies grow, and watch their family grow as well. I photographed big brother’s first year as well, and it was great fun to have him be a part of all the sessions.
I find it really fascinating to see the differences in siblings. At her walking session, I couldn’t get over how much baby girl and her big brother looked alike. But when it comes to personality, they have some stark differences. One a little more serious, a little more involved in the little things. And the other a big smiley face, hamming it up and taking joy in the world. I love, love, love seeing these personalities develop and seeing how they get along. Love them both – so happy to have witnessed these beautiful moments in their lives. Her sitting up session was at Little Skipper’s play cafe – a super fun place for a crawler to explore. And, similar to big brother’s walking session, we hit downtown for some fun. This family loves raising kids in Columbus (me too!), and I love how they want to show that part of their lives in their pictures! Catching up with big brother… And wrapping things up with a killer dance party! I loved making their first year album – mom and dad really chose the images that tell the story of wildness and fun and chaos that comes with having two young ones. Love their honesty and their desire to remember true life! Thank you for a wonderful year!
