one night, under the super moon… a first year (and beyond!) experience

One night, under the super moon, on Cinco de Mayo, this little wonder was born.  She was a teeny tiny one, and spent a little time in the NICU.  sarah gee-0899She was so very strong, and grew quickly.  So loved by her family.columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearAs the autumn leaves blazed their warm colors, her personality grew.  She started smiling and making those great, expressive faces that only five-month-olds make.columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first year columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearWinter came, and she was safe and cozy in her nice, warm home.  columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first year She didn’t love the cold, but she was up for the experience.  Her personality grew bigger still.columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first year And then.  Then came the warm sun of the early summer.  Her spunk burst forth – through her hair, through her squeals, through her expressions.  She was fearless, wanted to try whatever the big kids were doing.  She was big stuff.  Fierce.  And ridiculously cute.columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first year She loved all things shiny and sparkly and frilly.  Necklaces, tea parties, sunglasses.  columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first year She walked (or maybe ran) around like she owned the place, keeping everyone chasing her all the time, while she giggled hysterically.   columbus ohio baby photographer first yearsarah gee photography-1960sarah gee photography-1971sarah gee photography-1981sarah gee photography-2001 She crawled up the stairs in a way that she will only do at this one point of time in her life.  columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearAnd then the fall rolled back around again.  So big.  Exploring the great big world.  Ready for the adventure.  Following in big sister’s footsteps and yet making it her very own path all at the same time.  columbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearcolumbus ohio baby photographer first yearAnd now spring is just around the corner.  Soon she’ll be two!  I stopped by to bring their frames over the other day.  And there she was in her jammies.  Talking with her hands and conversational seriousness.  Laughing and asking for more when mama tickled her.  Being the super amazing, spunky, hilarious, confident, strong, smart, wonderful kid that she is.  sarah gee-0454Oh, how I love her!
