I just can’t say it enough: I LOVE getting to experience baby’s first year. I love watching the family’s life change with that tiny little being, love getting to be there in the midst of the excitement and sleep deprivation and incredible joy. I love watching that little personality begin to surface, seeing those smiles and tongues sticking out and every other little funny expression that comes along. I love watching that pride baby has with each milestone – seeing that awareness of the world around them grow, watching how every toddler walk is similar, but completely unique to the child. I love watching these babies grow, love watching these families grow.
I photographed big brother’s first year as well, and it was a joy to see him in his new role as a big brother this past year. He went from a quick poke on brother’s face and dashing away back at that newborn session, to making little brother laugh and laugh at his one year session. His sitting up session was at Station 67 downtown. He was hilarious at this session – so many sweet little expressions, and super interested in my camera. We went to Homestead Park for his one year session. Played at the playground and walked around the park, but his happiest moments were with his family. Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this first year!
