The Anniversary Project – I didn’t have this blog last year, so I decided to do some one-year anniversary posts for all of last year’s amazing weddings:)
Ok, before you even get started here, you must go to Rick Brunetto Big Band’s site. If you have your volume turned up, you’ll have the perfect background music for viewing this wedding in all it’s glory:)
It was a one-of-a-kind wedding, with so many things happening that were purely and gloriously unique to this wonderful couple. From Abby’s surprise tear-off dress (just the big skirt at the bottom – needed it smaller for all the DANCING!!!) to cutting their cake with a sword. It was all just perfectly Abby and Geoff. Add in their love, and the love of all those family and friends, and you’ve got something beautiful.
We met up for some photographing and their first look at 94th Aero Squadron, the perfect backdrop for them.
Abby’s cousin made her dress. Yes, MADE it. Is that incredible or what? And it came with a secret known only to Abby, Geoff, and her cousin (and me:)) – a tear-off skirt at the bottom that would be revealed at their first dance. They had a little practice go before the real deal.
And the tear-off went off without a hitch!
And then the dancing went on all night long. Abby and Geoff and their family and friends swinging to the sounds of big band! SO fun!
To watch these two dance is to have a peek into their incredible love for one another. Happy (late!) anniversary, Abby and Geoff!
